Ahhh, crockpots. Let me give you my current favorite
crockpot recipe. It
is for the meat portion of French Dip Sandwiches.

French Dip Sandwiches:
2 large onions cut into 1/4" slices
1/4 c. margarine
1 boneless bottom roast (3 - 4 lb.)
5 c. water
1/2 c. soy sauce
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 garlic clove, minced
Sauté onions in margarine until tender, transfer to crock pot. Place roast
over onions. Add all other ingredients.
Cover & cook on low for 7 - 9 hours. Remove roast and let stand 15 min.
Thinly slice across the grain and serve on split French rolls. Strain
cooking juices and serve as a dipping sauce.
